It is often referred to by the&nbsp;abbreviations&nbsp;DIE or DEI. We see this in practice on campus through the all-gender toilets and reflection rooms. There is also a lot of attention for gender\u202fequality,\u202fand the Progress flag flies prominently in front of the Aula every day.\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"764\" height=\"547\" src=\"https:\/\/fnv.tudelft.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/lgbtq.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-90\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fnv.tudelft.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/lgbtq.jpg 764w, https:\/\/fnv.tudelft.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/lgbtq-300x215.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 764px) 100vw, 764px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time,\u202fnot enough\u202fattention is\u202fgiven\u202fto the interests of those who are limited in\u202ftheir\u202fwork\u202for study on campus due to a disability or chronic illness.\u202fRecently, the&nbsp;Student Council and the Subcommittee for University Services have,\u202fseparately,\u202furged the Executive Board to pay more attention to this.\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Another part of DIE is treating each other equally. The investigation by the Education Inspectorate focuses, among other things, on&nbsp;disadvantages&nbsp;within the TU.\u202fIn 2025, the national House of Whistleblowers\u202fhad\u202fseen&nbsp;a 50% increase in reports of abuse at work, of which 90% concern\u202fprejudices.\u202fSo,\u202fthis is a very common problem.\u202fThis does not mean that\u202fprejudice\u202fis &#8216;normal&#8217;, but that a clear position must be taken against it.\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The FNV&nbsp;wholeheartedly supports these initiatives for greater equality.\u202fDIE\u202fis also a theme that the FNV is campaigning for nationally, as you can read at\u202f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fnv.nl\/acties?lang=en-US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FNV.nl\/actie<\/a>. The FNV faction in the&nbsp;Works&nbsp;Council also ensures that this theme\u202fremains\u202fhigh on the board&#8217;s agenda.
